DTC P0111 - INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

1. OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS
Detect the malfunction of intake air temperature sensor output property.
Judge NG when the intake air temperature is high regardless of the driving condition that the intake air temperature may be low.

4. GENERAL DRIVING CYCLE
Always perform the diagnosis continuously.

5. DIAGNOSTIC METHOD




- Abnormality Judgment
Judge NG when the continuous time until completing all the malfunction criteria becomes more than the time (3 seconds) needed for diagnosis.




- Normality Judgment
Judge OK and clear the NG when the malfunction criteria are completed.

6. DTC CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK idling cycle is completed 40 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed

7. MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK driving cycle is completed 3 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed

8. FAIL SAFE
Make the intake air temperature 40 degree C (104 degree F).

9. ECM OPERATION AT DTC SETTING
Memorize the freeze frame data. (For test mode $02)
