DTC P0335 - CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR "A" CIRCUIT

1. OUTLINE OF DIAGNOSIS




Detect the open or short circuit of crankshaft position sensor.
Normally, the crankshaft position sensor signal and camshaft position sensor signal are input as shown below. But judge NG when continuing not to input the crankshaft position sensor signal.

When inputting BTDC97 degree CA crankshaft position sensor signal, judge what cylinder piston is brought to the top dead center of compression by camshaft position sensor signal number.

3. ENABLE CONDITION
Perform the diagnosis without condition.

4. GENERAL DRIVING CYCLE
Always perform the diagnosis continuously.

5. DIAGNOSTIC METHOD




Judge OK and clear the NG when the malfunction criteria are completed.
When the crankshaft position sensor signal is input, clear the above camshaft position sensor signal.

Time Needed for Diagnosis: 7 revs.
Malfunction Indicator Light Illumination: Illuminates as soon as malfunction occurs.

6. DTC CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK idling cycle was completed 40 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed

7. MALFUNCTION INDICATOR LIGHT CLEAR CONDITION
- When the OK driving cycle was completed 3 times in a row
- When "Clear Memory" was performed

8. FAIL SAFE
None

9. ECM OPERATION AT DTC SETTING
Memorize the freeze frame data. (For test mode $02)
