ADHESIVE RESIDUE ON O6MY FORESTER REAR TAILGATE GARNISH





When performing the PDI on a O6MY Forester, there is the possibility that there may be some leftover adhesive on the rear tailgate garnish after removing the protective plastic wrap. To remove the adhesive use R-M Pre Kleano, or an equivalent (including 99% isopropyl alcohol). As with any cleaning product, make sure to read the instructions and safety precautions. Also, you can refer to the August 2003 Tech TIPS article, Adhesive Residue on Painted Surface. There has been a change in production and, as of July 2, 2005, 06MY Foresters will be shipped without the protective plastic wrap applied to the rear tailgate garnish.
