VDC Hydraulic Control Module (VDCH/M)

REMOVAL

VDC HYDRAULIC CONTROL MODULE (VDCH/M)

1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Remove the air intake duct from engine compartment to facilitate removal of VDCH/M.
3) Disconnect the connector from VDCH/M.

CAUTION: Be careful not to let water or other foreign matter contact the VDCH/M terminal.

4) Unlock the cable clip.
5) Disconnect the brake pipes from VDCH/M.

CAUTION: Wrap the brake pipes with vinyl bag to avoid spilling brake fluid on vehicle body.

6) Disconnect the VDCH/M ground cable.

7) Remove the two nuts which secure VDCH/M, and remove the VDCH/M from engine compartment.

CAUTION:
^ VDCH/M cannot be disassembled. Do not attempt to loosen the bolts and nuts.
^ Do not drop or bump the VDCH/M.
^ Do not turn the VDCH/M upside down or place it on its side.
^ Be careful to prevent foreign particles from getting into the VDCH/M.
^ When a new VDCH/M is installed, apply a coat of rust-preventive wax (Nippeco LT or GB) to the bracket attaching bolt after tightening.
^ Do not pull the harness when disconnecting harness connector.

RELAY BOX
1) Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2) Remove the air intake duct from engine compartment to facilitate removal of relay box.
