REMOVAL
a. Remove the V-belt.
b. Remove the crank pulley.
c. Remove the timing belt cover.
d. Remove the timing belt.
e. Remove the cam sprockets. To lock the camshaft, use ST.

INSTALLATION
a. Install the cam sprocket. To lock the camshaft, use ST.

NOTE: Do not confuse cam sprockets (RH) and (LH) during installation.

ST 499207400 CAM SPROCKET WRENCH
Tightening torque: 30 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 21.8 ft. lbs.), and then tighten 45° furthermore

Tightening torque: 30 Nm (3.0 kgf-m, 21.8 ft. lbs.), and then tighten 45° furthermore





b. Install the timing belt.
c. Install the timing belt cover.
d. Install the crank pulley.
e. Install the V-belt.

INSPECTION
a. Check the sprocket teeth for abnormal wear and scratches.
b. Make sure there is no free play between sprocket and key.
c. Check the crank sprocket notch used for sensor for damage and contamination of foreign matter.
