Tailgate Release Handle: Service and Repair

Rear Gate Outer Handle

REMOVAL
1. Remove the rear gate trim.
2. Remove the rear wiper motor assembly.
3. Remove the rear finisher light.
4. Remove the cable and the two nuts.






5. Remove the rear gate outer handle.

INSTALLATION
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Tightening torque: 7.5 N.m (0.76 kgf.m, 5.5 ft.lb)

NOTE: Make sure the outer handle works properly by opening/closing the rear gate after installation.
