Interior - C-Pillar Trim Not Seated Properly

"C" Pillar Trim, Left Side

Introduction

If you encounter a vehicle where the left side "C" pillar trim is not seated properly, use the following repair procedure.

Repair Procedure/Information








1) Cut 6 pieces of non-woven material, 10mm x 15mm.





2) Carefully pull back "C" pillar trim.

3) Install a piece of non-woven material on the clip labeled (A) (above). Install the material starting under the tab as illustrated.

Install a second piece directly on top of the first piece to obtain the necessary thickness.








4) Install a piece of non-woven material on both of the clips labeled (B) (below). Install the material starting at the mid-point of the tab as illustrated. Install a second piece directly on top of the first piece to obtain the necessary thickness.

5) Clip "C" pillar trim back into place. Make sure all of the clips are seated properly and the trim is sitting flush.

For vehicles within the Basic New Car Limited Warranty period, this repair can be claimed using the table.

Parts: Use part # SOA635079 for the non-woven material. The part # is non-orderable and used for claim purposes only.
