Rear Sub Frame Bolt and Stopper

Introduction

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform of a change in production to the rear sub frame bolt and stopper and provide the new torque specification.

Countermeasure in Production





The new style bolt and stopper was used in production starting in September 2008 with the VINs shown above.





Part Information

^ If the Sub Frame is removed from a vehicle before the VIN break, the new style bolt and stopper must be used with the new torque specification.

^ If the Sub Frame is removed from a vehicle after the VIN break, the new style bolt must be used with the new torque specification.

Note:
The new style bolt is not reusable and must be replaced anytime it is removed.
