SUBJECT:
Subaru Super Coolant (SSC)

INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this bulletin is to introduce Subaru Super Coolant (SSC) The color of this coolant is blue and the first replacement interval is 11 years/220,000 Km (137,500 miles). The second replacement interval after that is 6 years/120,000 KM (75,000 miles)

Subaru Super Coolant may be mixed with Subaru Long Life Coolant (SLLC), however when mixed the replacement interval must be followed for Subaru Long Life Coolant, 30 months/ 48,000 Km (30,000 miles)

PRODUCTION LINE CHANGE

^ All 2008MY STI models will be equipped with Subaru Super Coolant

^ 2008MY Impreza (except STI), Forester, Legacy/Outback and Tribeca models will be transitioned from using the old coolant to the new coolant until inventory of the old coolant is exhausted. Therefore, some vehicles will have the old type (green) color; some vehicles will have a mixture of both the old type (green) color and the new type (blue) color, and some vehicles will have the new type (blue) color. The maintenance schedule for all of these vehicles is 30 months/48,000 Km (30,000 miles)
