Rear Gate Opener Button

REMOVAL

NOTE: The rear gate opener button is integrated into the license plate light assembly harness.

1. Remove the rear gate trim.
2. Remove the rear gate garnish.
3. Disconnect the harness connectors of the rear gate opener button and license plate light assembly.
4. Loosen four screws to remove the rear gate garnish lower cover.






5. Hold down the hook of the rear gate opener button, and remove the rear gate opener button.






6. Remove the license plate light.
7. Remove the license plate light assembly harness.

INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
- Install with the protrusion of the switch harness clip facing towards the vehicle
- Make sure that the harness grommets are installed securely.
Failure to install securely may result in entry of water.

Install in the reverse order of removal.
