Valve Spring Change to FB Engine
INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this bulletin is to announce a change to the specification of the valve springs used in the FB engine. The coils of the new valve springs are closer together at the bottom and further apart at the top (retainer) end. The new springs also have a green paint mark to help identify them.
Important Installation Notes:
When installing the new type valve spring, the end with the tighter (narrower pitch) coils must go against the spring seat / cylinder head.
DO NOT mix New and Old type springs in the same engine!
