INTRODUCTION
The purpose of this bulletin is to inform you there is a new re-flash available for the Auto-Dimming Mirror with Compass, Back-Up Camera Display and HomeLink(R).
COUNTERMEASURE IN PRODUCTION
**Compass locks up in one direction - The updated software was used in production the end of July, 2010.**
**Compass locks up and does not recalibrate - The updated software was used in production the end of April, 2011.**
TOOLS REQUIRED
Field Flash Box
Plastic white trim tool
**For replacement field flash boxes or questions regarding re-flash issues, please contact the vendor directly.**
REPAIR PROCEDURE/INFORMATION
Note:
If the PDI procedure was not yet performed on in-stock vehicles make sure the transportation 10-amp backup fuse is installed Make sure batteries are fully charged.
^ Once the mirror has the updated software, re-flashing will not be required if the battery is disconnected in the future.
^ Upon completion to ensure the compass re-flash was successful, drive the vehicle in a complete circle until the compass updates to a new direction.
CAUTION
Make sure battery is fully charged.
Do NOT disconnect field flash box from mirror or power outlet. Do NOT turn ignition key from ACCESSORY position.
Failure to follow the cautions will result in damage to the electrical components of the mirror which is not a matter for warranty.
