SUBJECT:
Change to Engine Mount Nut and Tightening Torque

INTRODUCTION

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform you of a change to the nuts used to secure the 2 main engine mounts to the sub-frame. There are 2 types; a 1-piece flange nut and a flange nut & washer type as shown in the chart below. They are not interchangeable as they utilize different tightening torque specifications.

NOTE:
Both flange nut types are 1-time use only items and must be replaced when loosened or removed.

SERVICE PROCEDURE / INFORMATION

Due to a production change, earlier 2012MY vehicles were produced with the nut & washer arrangement while the mid-year and later 2012MY and 2013MY vehicles use the 1-piece flange nut.





If servicing requires loosening or removal of a 1-piece flange nut on a 2012MY vehicle, replace it with the 2-piece flange nut & washer then torque to the specification shown in the chart below or as listed in the 2012MY Service Manual. For 2013MY vehicles, always use the new, 1-piece flange nut and proper torque specification shown in the chart or as listed in the 2013MY Service Manual.
