Spark Plug: Service and Repair
Spark PlugREMOVAL
Spark plug:
Refer to "SPECIFICATION" for spark plug.
1. RH SIDE
1. Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
2. Remove the air cleaner case.
3. Disconnect the connector from ignition coil.
4. Remove the ignition coil.
5. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.
2. LH SIDE
1. Disconnect the connector from ignition coil.
2. Remove the ignition coil.
3. Remove the spark plug with a spark plug socket.
INSTALLATION
1. RH SIDE
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION: Degrease the ignition coil installation portion and the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque (Spark plug): 17 N.m (1.7 kgf-m, 12.5 ft-lb)
Tightening torque (Ignition coil): 12 N.m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.9 ft-lb)
2. LH SIDE
Install in the reverse order of removal.
CAUTION: Degrease the ignition coil installation portion and the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque (Spark plug): 17 N.m (1.7 kgf-m, 12.5 ft-lb)
Tightening torque (Ignition coil): 12 N.m (1.2 kgf-m, 8.9 ft-lb)
