Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

Evaporator Sensor

REMOVAL

1. Remove the evaporator assembly - cooling.
2. Remove the thermostat - cooling from the evaporator assembly - cooling.






INSTALLATION

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the water seal packing on the cover attachment area is securely attached.
- Replace the O-rings with new parts, and then apply compressor oil.


1. Install the thermostat - cooling at the position shown in the figure below.






2. Install each part in the reverse order of removal.

Heater cooling unit:
Tightening torque:
T1: 5.0 N.m (0.51 kgf-m, 3.7 ft-lb)
T2: 6.7 N.m (0.68 kgf-m, 4.9 ft-lb)

Blower motor unit:
Tightening torque:
T: 7.5 N.m (0.76 kgf-m, 5.5 ft-lb)


3. Charge refrigerant.
