Rear Lower Arm

Installation

NOTE:
^ The following servicing procedures are for the LH side.
^ Service the LH side and the RH side using the same procedure.

1. Temporary tightening of rear suspension arm ASSY No. 2 LH
(1) Using the bolt and a new nut, temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No. 2 LH to the axle carrier.

CAUTION:
Insert the bolt from the front of the vehicle.

(2) Using the bolt and a new nut, temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No. 2 LH to the rear suspension member.

CAUTION:
Insert the bolt from the front of the vehicle.

2. Temporary tightening of rear shock absorber w/ coil spring LH
(1) Using the bolt and a new nut, temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No. 2 LH to the rear shock absorber w/coil spring LH.

NOTE:
The bolt may be inserted from either side.

3. Installation of rear stabilizer link SUB-ASSY (installed on LH side)
4. Temporary tightening of rear suspension arm ASSY No. 1 LH
(1) Using a new bolt and nut, temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No. 1 LH to the axle carrier.

CAUTION:
Insert the bolt from the inner side of the vehicle.

(2) Using a new bolt and nut, temporarily tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No. 1 LH to the rear suspension member.

CAUTION:
Insert the bolt from the outer side of the vehicle.

5. Stabilization of vehicle
6. Final tightening of rear suspension arm ASSY No. 2 LH
7. Final tightening of rear suspension arm ASSY No. 1 LH
(1) Using the two bolts and two nuts, fully tighten the rear suspension arm ASSY No. 1 LH.

CAUTION:
Secure the nut and turn the bolt.

Standard value:T=110Nm {1122kgf-cm} {81.1ft-lbf}
8. Installation of parking brake cable guide
(1) Using the bolt, install the parking brake cable guide.
Standard value:T=18Nm {184kgf-cm} {13.3ft-lbf}
9. Installation of rear tire
Standard value:T=120Nm {1224kgf-cm} {88.5ft-lbf}
10. Inspection and adjustment of rear wheel alignment
11. Headlight beam adjustment
