Adjustment





1. Reverse check adjustment
(1) Loosen the 4 flange bolts on the shift lever cap.
(2) Shift the shift & select lever ASSY to the 2nd.
(3) Insert a shim that is 1.0 mm {0.0394 in} in thickness between the stopper and the shift lever cap, and push the shift lever cap to the stopper.

Standard value





(4) Tighten the 4 flange bolts on the shift lever cap.
Standard value:T=7.5Nm {77kgf-cm} {5.5ft-lbf}
(5) Check that shift operation of 1st-2nd can be performed.
(6) If shift operation of 1st-2nd cannot be performed in the above check, perform the steps (1) to (4) with a shim that is 0.2 mm {0.0079 in} thinner.
(7) Check that shift operation of 1st-2nd can be performed.





(8) After the completion of reverse check adjustment, apply NIGTIGHT LYW No.2 to the stopper and the shift lever cap.
