Ignition Timing: Adjustments
Ignition system should be inspected every 60,000 miles. When checking ignition timing, ensure that engine is at normal operating temperature and running at specified curb idle speed, with headlamps, heater fan, rear defogger (if equipped) and air conditioning (if equipped) are off. Connect timing light sensor lead to No. 1 spark plug lead, without piercing insulation of lead. Refer to ``Tune Up Specifications'' for specified ignition timing, firing order and timing mark identification.
