Main Relay (Computer/Fuel System): Testing and Inspection

Refer to Fig. 139, when testing control relay and its circuits.

Fig. 140 Control Relay Voltage Specification:





1. With ignition switch On, check voltage at terminals shown in Fig. 140. If no voltage is applied to terminals B and F, check fuse, wiring harness or ignition switch. If no voltage is applied to terminal H, check wire harness, starter switch, clutch/shift switch.

2. With ignition switch On, check voltage at terminals shown in Fig. 141. If voltage is not as specified, replace control relay. If voltage at terminal I is not 0 volts at engine cranking, check for open in pink wire or for defective ECM.
