Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Mechanical: Adjustments

Throttle Opener Adjustment:

NOTE: Before starting engine, place transmission gear shift lever in "Neutral", and set parking brake and block drive wheels.

1. Turn ignition switch ON and leave it for 5 sec.
2. Start and run engine at 2000 rpm for 5 min. after warming up and let it slow down to idle speed.
3. Check to make sure that no electric load is applied to engine.
4. Disconnect vacuum hose from throttle opener and put blind plug in disconnected vacuum hose. Check that engine speed is within specification then.

Engine speed while opener operating
2200 ± 50 rpm

5. If engine speed is found out of specification in above check, adjust it to specification by turning throttle opener adjusting screw.
6. Upon completion of adjustment, connect vacuum hose to opener securely.
