Spark Plug: Service and Repair

1) Remove ignition coil cover(s).
2) Disconnect ignition coil couplers.
3) Remove ignition coil mounting bolts from cylinder head cover.
4) Disconnect ignition coil assemblies from spark plugs.
5) Using a spark plug wrench, loosen and remove plugs.





6) Install new spark plugs.

NOTE:
Make sure to use new plugs of specified heat range and size.

PLUG SPECIFICATION: NGK BKR6E
NIPPONDENSO K20PR-U

Clearance "a": 0.7 - 0.8mm (0.028 - 0.031in.)





7) Tighten spark plugs to specified torque.

Tightening Torque
(a): 25 N-m (2.5 kg-m, 18.0 lb-ft)

8) Connect ignition coil assemblies to spark plugs.
9) Install ignition coil mounting bolts, harness bracket and harness to cylinder head covers.
10) Connect ignition coil couplers.
11) Install ignition coil cover(s).
