Repair Procedures
1. Determine which front mount is squeaking by individually bouncing each comer of the bumper.
2. Once the squeaking/clunking side is identified, carefully remove the front grill and the complete headlight assembly to gain access to the noisy mount.
3. Remove the mount bolt and top bushing.
4. Determine where the sleeve is contacting the body of the vehicle by inspecting the clearance between the body and the bushing sleeve.
5. Using a round file or die grinder, enlarge the hole so the clearance between the body and the sleeve of the bushing is about 1/16 inch (2 mm).
CAUTION: Use care not to damage the mounting bolt threads or the body mount bushing.
6. Seal the bare metal area with touch up paint to prevent rust and corrosion on the repaired body surface.
7. Reinstall the upper bushing, sleeve and bolt using thread lock sealer.
