Manual Transmission/Transaxle: Description and Operation









Most part of the structure and operation of this transmission is the same as that for 4WD. The main differences from the transmission for 4WD are as follows.
- Extension case is used instead of transmission rear case and speedometer driven gear is installed on it.
- Speedometer drive gear is installed on main shaft.
- Amount of transmission oil is different.
- Gear shift lever case assembly is different.
- Shape of rear mounting and member is different.
