Front Door Glass Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Remove inside handle bezel.
2) Remove door mirror bezel (if equipped).
3) Remove door armrest or door inside pull handle case.
4) Remove window regulator handle (if equipped). To remove regulator handle, pull off snap ring by using a cloth as shown in the figure.






5) Remove door trim with inside weatherstrip. With inside handle bezel tilted as shown in the figure, turn door trim 90� counterclockwise to remove it. And disconnect power window switch lead wire at coupler (if equipped).






6) Remove door sealing cover. Fit inside handle bezel back into specified place of door panel.






7) Remove door outside weatherstrip. Lower window all the way down. Then, use a tape-wrapped putty knife (or screwdriver) to pry off weatherstrip.

CAUTION: Use a tape-wrapped putty knife (or screwdriver) to pry off weatherstrip. Use of an unwrapped tool will cause damage to painting.






8) Remove door inner weatherstrip.
9) Remove glass bottom channel attaching screws (1).
10) Take out door glass with bottom channel (2).






11) Detach glass from bottom channel.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure to install door glass noting the following points:

- When installing glass to bottom channel (1), coat channel with soapy water and tap it in place with a plastic hammer.
Position glass in bottom channel, as shown in the figure.

- When window becomes hard to raise and lower, it is possible that glass is tilted toward door sash.





1. Screws

- Adjust equalizer of window regulator so that measurement A and B are equal.

- Secure door sealing cover (1) with adhesive (2).






- Install door window regulator handle so that it has an angle as shown when glass is fully closed.
