Stabilizer Bar: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1. Hoist vehicle.
2. Disconnect stabilizer ball joint from front suspension arms (right & left).
3. Remove stabilizer bar mount bush bracket bolts and nuts.
4. Remove stabilizer bar and its ball joint.
INSTALLATION
NOTE: For correct installation of stabilizer bar, side-to-side, be sure that color paint on stabilizer bar aligns with mount bush, both right and left, as shown.
1. When installing stabilizer, loosely assemble all components while insuring that stabilizer is centered, side-to-side.
2. Tighten stabilizer brackets and stabilizer ball joint to specified torque.
Tightening Torque:
(a): 50 Nm (86.5 ft. lbs.)
(b): 25 Nm (18.0 ft. lbs.)
(c): 85 Nm (61.5 ft. lbs.)
(d): 29 Nm (21.0 ft. lbs.)
