Throttle Position Sensor: Testing and Inspection

1. Warm up engine and stop it when its temperature has reached normal operating temperature (Check to make sure that they have some clearance between last idle cam and cam follow lever.).
2. Disconnect negative cable at battery and coupler from TP sensor.




3. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals under each condition given in table below.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace TP sensor.
4. Connect TP sensor coupler securely.
5. Connect negative cable to battery.
