CONDITION:
Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illuminates after engine is operated at high RPMs. DTC is a false P0300, PO301-P0306 (Misfire detection codes).
CAUSE:
Production line variability of the misfire monitoring system ECM/PCM program.
CORRECTION:
Replace ECM/PCM with updated unit as indicated in this bulletin.
AFFECTED VIN RANGE:
Vehicles within the affected VIN range noted above may exhibit a false misfire code if the vehicle is operated at high RPMs. The driver will not experience any driveability problems or be aware of any misfire. Should this occur, replace the ECM/PCM with the updated part listed.
