B. Vacuum Hose Union Inspection Procedure (2001 Only)

(2001 MODEL YEAR ONLY)








The vacuum hose union must be inspected on all 2001 model year vehicles within the specified VIN range before starting the Recall Campaign service. Inspect the union by removing the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose from the vacuum hose union (Figure 2) at the surge tank. Determine the type of vacuum hose union currently installed on vehicle (Figure 3).

- If the vacuum union is flared near the outside end, it is not necessary to perform the Recall Campaign service. Reinstall the vacuum hose to the vacuum union. Proceed to "D. CAMPAIGN STICKER INSTALLATION PROCEDURE."

- If the vacuum union is not flared near the outside end, proceed to "C. REPAIR PROCEDURE."
