CONDITION:
Axle clicking similar to a failing Constant Velocity (C.V.) joint most noticeable when turning and accelerating from a stop with the outside temperature at or below 15�F. Clicking noise will diminish as the C.V. joint warms up from driving.
CAUSE:
Axle joint grease.
CORRECTION:
DO NOT REPLACE THE AXLE SHAFT OR C.V. JOINTS. New C.V. joint boot with premium grease is available. Follow the service manual procedure found under "Front Wheel Drive Shaft Outer Joint and Boot Replacement" to remove and replace the affected outer C.V. joint grease and boot using the new part number listed below.
