Step 1 (bolts 7 - 10) :1.96 N-m (0.2 kg-m, 17 in-lb)
Step 2 (bolts 1 - 6) :1.96 N-m (0.2 kg-m, 17 in-lb)
Step 3 :5.88 N-m (0.6 kg-m, 52 in-lb)
Step 4 :10.4 N-m (1.1 kg-m, 92 in-lb)
Cylinder Head bolt
If cylinder head bolts re-used, check their outer diameters before installation.
Step a :98 N-m (10 kg-m, 72 ft-lb)
Step b :Loosen to 0 N-m in the reverse order of tightening.
Step c :39.2 N-m (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft-lb)
Intake manifold bolt and nuts
1st step :7.4 N-m (0.75 kg-m, 65 in-lb)
2nd step and after :29.0 Nm (3.0 kg-m, 21 ft-lb)
Oil pan upper 22.0 N-m (2.2 kg-m, 16 in-lb)
Oil pan lower 9.0 N-m (0.92 kg-m, 80 in-lb)
Oil pump 6.9 N-m (0.7 kg-m, 61 in-lb)
Tighten lower cylinder block as follows:
Tighten M8 bolts in numerical order as shown from No. 17 to 24.
Bolts 17- 24 :22.1 N-m (2.3 kg-m, 16 ft-lb)
Step 1: Tighten M10 bolts in numerical order.
Bolts 1 - 16: 35.3 N-m (3.6 kg-m, 26 ft-lb)
Step 2: Turn M10 bolts 90° clockwise in numerical order.
Connecting rod bolt: 19.6 N-m (2.0 kg-m, 14 ft-lb)
Then tighten all connecting rod bolts 90° clockwise.
Water Pump bolt 9.6 N-m (0.98 kg-m, 85 ft-lb)
Tighten bolts alternately and evenly
Tighten crankshaft pulley bolt in two steps.
Step 1 : 44.1 N-m (4.5 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
Step 2 : 84 - 90 degrees clockwise
Drive plate 88.0 N-m (9.0 kg-m, 65 ft-lb)
Tighten bolts in a diagonal pattern in two steps
