Cylinder head boltsWhenever the size difference between (d1) and (d2) exceeds the limit, replace the bolt with a new one.
Limit [(d1) - (d2)] 0.11 mm (0.0043 in)
If reduction of outer diameter appears in a position other than (d2), use it as (d2) point.
Step a 98 Nm (10 kg-m, 72 ft-lb)
Step b Loosen to 0 Nm in the reverse order of tightening.
Step c 39.2 Nm (4.0 kg-m, 29 ft-lb)
Step d 90 degrees clockwise
Step e 90 degrees clockwise
Intake Manifold
Stud bolts 11.0 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 8 ft-lb)
1st step 7.4 Nm (0.75 kg-m, 65 in-lb)
2nd step and after 29.0 Nm (3.0 kg-m, 21 ft-lb)
Intake Manifold Collector
Collector bolts and nuts 11.0 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 8 ft-lb)
Stud bolts 6.9 Nm (7.0 kg-m, 61 in-lb)
Camshaft bracket bolts
Step 1 (bolts 7 - 10) 1.96 Nm (0.2 kg-m, 17 in-lb)
Step 2 (bolts 1 - 6) 1.96 Nm (0.2 kg-m, 17 in-lb)
Step 3 5.88 Nm (0.6 kg-m, 52 in-lb)
Step 4 10.4 Nm (1.1 kg-m, 92 in-lb)
Lower cylinder block
Bolts 17 - 24 22.1 Nm (2.3 kg-m, 16 ft-lb)
Bolts 1 - 16 35.3 Nm (3.6 kg-m, 26 ft-lb)
M10 bolts No. 1 to 16 90 degrees
Connecting rod cap
Connecting rod bolt 19.6 Nm (2.0 kg-m, 14 ft-lb)
Then tighten 90 degrees clockwise
Crankshaft pulley
Step 1 44.1 Nm (4.5 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
Step 2 84 degrees - 90 degrees clockwise
Flex plate 88.0 Nm (9.0 kgf-m, 65 ft lb)
Tighten bolts crosswise over several times
Oil pump 6.9 Nm (0.7 kgf-m, 61 in lb)
Exhaust manifold
Exhaust manifold 30.5 Nm (3.1 kgf-m, 22 ft lb)
Tighten nuts No. 1 and 2 in two steps. The numerical order No. 7 and 8 show second step
Water pump 9.6 Nm (0.98 kgf-m, 85 in lb)
Insert water pump by tightening bolts alternately and evenly
