Tightening Torque SpecificationsCAUTION: For fastener with * (asterisk) below, be sure to tighten it according to specified procedure in "Repair Instructions".
NOTE:
The specified tightening torque is described in the following.
Air Cleaner Components:J24B
Cylinder Head Cover Components:J24B
Camshaft and Tappet Components:J24B
Engine Mountings Components:J24B
Timing Chain Cover Components:J24B
Timing Chain and Chain Tensioner Components:J24B
Valve and Cylinder Head Components:J24B
Piston, Piston Ring and Connecting Rod Components:J24B
Main Bearing, Crankshaft and Cylinder Block Components:J24B
Cylinder Head Bolt Reuse/Replace
NOTE: If they are reused, check thread diameter of cylinder head bolt (1) for deformation as follows and replace it with new one if thread diameter difference exceeds its limit.
Measure each thread diameter of cylinder head bolt "A" at "a" and "B" at "b" using micrometer (3).
Then calculate difference in diameters (A - B).
If it exceeds limit, replace cylinder head bolt with new bolt.

"a": 95.0 mm (3.74 in.)
"b": 130.0 mm (5.12 in.)
Cylinder head bolt diameter difference (deformation)
Limit (A - B): 0.25 mm (0.0098 in.)
