Description

Detects door open/close condition.

Component Function

1. CHECK FUNCTION

With SDT

Check door switches in data list mode with SDT.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Door switch is OK.
NO
Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure".

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to [Power Window System: Wiring Diagram [King Cab] Power Window System [King Cab] ].

1. CHECK DOOR SWITCHES INPUT SIGNAL

With SDT

Check door switches ("DOOR SW-DR", "DOOR SW-AS") in data list mode with SDT. Refer to
[SDT Function (BCM - DOOR LOCK)] SDT Function (BCM - Door Lock).
- When any doors are open:






- When any doors are closed:






Without SDT

Check voltage between BCM connector M18 or M19 terminals 12, 47 and ground.











Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Door switch circuit is OK.
NO
GO TO 2

2. CHECK DOOR SWITCH CIRCUIT

1 Turn ignition switch OFF.
2 Disconnect BCM.
3 Check continuity between front door switch connector D213 (LH), D314 (RH) terminal 2 and BCM connector M18, M19 terminals 12 and 47.






4 Check continuity between rear door switch upper connector D211 (LH), D312 (RH) terminal 1 and BCM connector M18, M19 terminals 12 and 47.






5 Check continuity between rear door switch lower connector D212 (LH), D313 (RH) terminal 1 and BCM connector M18, M19 terminals 12 and 47.






6 Check continuity between front door switch connector D213 (LH), D314 (RH) terminal 2 and ground.






7 Check continuity between rear door switch upper connector D211 (LH), D312 (RH) terminal 1 and ground.






8 Check continuity between rear door switch lower connector D212 (LH), D313 (RH) terminal 1 and ground.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 3
NO
Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK DOOR SWITCHES GROUND CIRCUIT

1 Check continuity between front door switch connector D213 (LH), D314 (RH) terminal 3 and ground.






2 Check continuity between rear door switch upper connector D211 (LH), D312 (RH) terminal 2 and ground.






3 Check continuity between rear door switch lower connector D212 (LH), D313 (RH) terminal 2 and ground.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 4
NO
Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK DOOR SWITCHES

Check continuity between door switch terminals.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace BCM. Refer to [BCM: Removal and Installation] Removal and Replacement.
NO
Replace door switch.
