Door Lock and Unlock Switch Circuit Check [Crew Cab]

Description

Transmits door lock/unlock operation to BCM.

Component Function Check

1. CHECK FUNCTION

With SDT

Check CDL LOCK SW, CDL UNLOCK SW in data list mode with SDT.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Door lock and unlock switch is OK.
NO
Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure".

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to [Power Door Lock System: Wiring Diagram [Crew Cab] Power Door Lock System [Crew Cab] ].

1. CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH INPUT SIGNAL

With SDT

Check door lock/unlock switch ("CDL LOCK SW", "CDL UNLOCK SW") in data list mode in SDT. Refer to [SDT Function (BCM - DOOR LOCK)] SDT Function (BCM - Door Lock).
- When door lock/unlock switch is turned to LOCK:






- When door lock/unlock switch is turned to UNLOCK:






Without SDT

Check voltage between BCM connector M19 terminals 45, 46 and ground.










Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Door lock/unlock switch circuit is OK.
NO
GO TO 2

2. CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH

1 Turn ignition switch OFF.
2 Disconnect door lock/unlock switch.
3 Check continuity between main power window and door lock/unlock switch terminals 10, 11 and 14.











4 Check continuity between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH terminals 1, 2 and 3.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 3
NO
Replace door lock/unlock switch.

3. CHECK DOOR LOCK/UNLOCK SWITCH GROUND HARNESS

1 Disconnect main power window and door lock/unlock switch or power window and door lock/unlock switch RH.
2 Check continuity between main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector D7 terminal 14 and ground.











3 Check continuity between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector D105 terminal 3 and ground











Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 4
NO
Repair or replace harness.

4. CHECK DOOR LOCK SWITCH CIRCUIT

1 Disconnect BCM.
2 Check continuity between BCM connector M19 terminal 45 and main power window and door lock/unlock switch connector D7 terminal 10 or power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector D105 terminal 1.










3 Check continuity between BCM connector M19 terminal 45 and ground.






4 Check continuity between BCM connector M19 terminal 46 and main power window and door lock/unlock switch LH connector D7 terminal 11 or power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector D105 terminal 2.










5 Check continuity between BCM connector M19 terminal 46 and ground.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
GO TO 5
NO
Repair or replace harness.

5. CHECK BCM OUTPUT VOLTAGE

1 Connect BCM.
2 Check voltage between BCM connector M19 terminals 45, 46 and ground.











Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Check condition of the harness and connector.
NO
Replace BCM. Refer to [BCM: Removal and Installation] Removal and Replacement.
