Power Window Motor Circuit Check [Passenger Side]

Description

Door glass moves UP/DOWN by receiving the signal from main power window and door lock/unlock switch or power window and door lock/unlock switch RH.

Component Function Check

1. CHECK POWER WINDOW MOTOR CIRCUIT

Check power window motor operation when operating main power window and door lock/unlock switch or power window and door lock/unlock switch RH.

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Front power window motor RH is OK.
NO
Refer to "Diagnosis Procedure".

Diagnosis Procedure

Regarding Wiring Diagram information, refer to [Power Window System: Wiring Diagram [King Cab] Power Window System [King Cab] ], [Power Window System: Wiring Diagram [Crew Cab] Power Window System [Crew Cab] ].

1. CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW SWITCH RH OUTPUT SIGNAL

1 Disconnect front power window motor RH.





2 Turn ignition switch ON.
3 Check voltage between front power window motor RH connector and ground.






Is the measurement value within the specification?
YES
GO TO 3
NO
GO TO 2

2. CHECK HARNESS CONTINUITY

1 Turn ignition switch OFF.





2 Disconnect power window and door lock/unlock switch RH.
3 Check continuity between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector and front power window motor RH connector.






4 Check continuity between power window and door lock/unlock switch RH connector and ground.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Replace power window and door lock/unlock switch RH. Refer to [Front Power Window Switch: Removal and Installation] Front Power Window Switch.
NO
Repair or replace harness.

3. CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR RH

Check front power window motor RH.

Refer to "Component Inspection".

Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Check intermittent incident. Refer to [Service Information for Electrical Incident: Intermittent Incident] Service Information for Electrical Incident: Intermittent Incident.
NO
Replace front power window motor RH. Refer to [Front Door Glass Regulator: Removal and Installation] Service and Repair.

Component Inspection

Component Inspection

1. CHECK FRONT POWER WINDOW MOTOR RH

Check motor operation by connecting the battery voltage directly to front power window motor RH.






Is the inspection result normal?
YES
Front power window motor RH is OK.
NO
Replace front power window motor RH. Refer to [Front Door Glass Regulator: Removal and Installation] Service and Repair.
