DTC B1071 / B1075: Driver / Passenger Side Forward Sensor Circuit Performance Problem

DTC Will be Set when

SDM receives internal fault signal or wrong ID (Part No.) signal from forward-sensor.

Flow Test Description

Step 2: DTC check.

DTC Troubleshooting

1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag.

2. Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
Turn ON ignition switch and check SDM for DTC.

Are there any DTC(s) B1073, B1074 (for DTC B1071) or 1077, B1078 (for DTC B1075)?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC diag. flow.
NO -
Replace defective forward-sensor and recheck. If this DTC still detected, replace SDM.

NOTE:

Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.

- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, if any. DTC Clearance
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
