DTC B1081 / B1091: Driver / Passenger Side-Sensor Circuit Performance Problem
DTC Will be Set when
SDM receives internal fault signal or wrong ID (Part No.) signal from side-sensor.
Flow Test Description
Step 2: DTC check.
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag.
2. Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
Turn ON ignition switch and check SDM for DTC.
Are there any DTC(s) B1083, B1084 (for DTC B1081) or 1093, B1094 (for DTC B1091)?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC diag. flow.
NO -
Replace defective side-sensor and recheck.
If this DTC still detected, replace SDM.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, if any. DTC Clearance
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
