DTC B1314: OCM Battery Voltage Out of Range

DTC Will be Set When
The power source voltage to OCM is out of range (9 - 16 V) for specified time.
Flow Test Description
Step 2: Check if voltage on battery is within specified range.
Step 3: Check OCM power supply circuit.
Step 4: Check OCM ground circuit.
DTC Troubleshooting
1.
Was "Air Bag Diagnostic System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag.
2. Measure voltage on battery.
Is voltage in 9 - 16 V?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Check charging system and repair as necessary referring to Testing and Inspection Generator Test.
3. Disconnect OCM connector "L78".
Check proper connection to OCM connector at terminal "L78-2" and "L78-3".
If OK, then measure voltage between "L78-2" and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
With ignition switch ON, Is voltage in 9 - 16 V?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Repair "RED" circuit.
4. Measure resistance between "L78-3" and body ground.
Special Tool
(A): 09932-76010
Is continuity indicated?
YES -
Substitute a known-good OCM and recheck.
NO -
High resistance or open circuit in "BLK" circuit.
NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, perform the following items.
- Reconnect all air bag system components and ensure all components are properly mounted.
- Clear DTCs, if any. DTC Clearance
- Repeat Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Air Bag Diagnostic System Check:Advanced Air Bag
to confirm that the trouble has been corrected.
