Scan Tool Testing and Procedures
Scan Tool Data
BCM
The parameter data below are values measured with the scan tool when the normally operating vehicle. Confirm that the parameter of SUZUKI scan tool within 15 minutes after performing the following procedure.
1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
2) Connect SUZUKI scan tool to DLC.
3) Drive vehicle at 40 km/h (25 mph) for 2 minutes or more.
4) Stop vehicle.
5) Apply parking brake and block wheels.
6) Turn ignition switch to ON position.
7) Confirm that no DTC is detected.
8) Adjust each tire pressure to 230 kPa.
NOTE:
Each tire pressure sensor is numbered and that number is assigned in the order as its ID code is registered in BCM. It does not indicate the tire position (front-left, front-right, rear-left and rear-right). Check what number of the tire pressure sensor is assigned to which tire, referring to How to Identify Tire Pressure Sensor Number How to Identify Tire Pressure Sensor Number.
Scan Tool Data Definition
ID code #1, #2, #3 and #4 (Tire pressure sensor ID code):
This parameter indicates each ID code of the tire pressure sensor registered in the BCM.
Sensor #1, #2, #3 and #4 status (Learn, Low battery, OFF, Re-measure, Wake and/or Normal):
This parameter indicates the operational condition of the tire pressure sensor. For farther detail, refer to Tire Pressure Monitoring System Description Tire Pressure Monitoring System Description
for transmitting condition of tire pressure sensor.
Air pressure #1, #2, #3 and #4 (kPa):
This parameter indicates the current air pressure in tire measured by tire pressure sensor.
Maximum indicated value: 349.35 kPa
Minimum indicated value: 0 kPa
Tire Pres Warn light (Low tire pressure warning light):
ON: BCM detects low tire pressure in the tire or abnormality in system.
OFF: Tire pressure monitoring system is in good condition.
