Precautions for Discharge Headlight Service (If Equipped)

WARNING:

- You may get a high voltage electric shock if you connect a tester between the output connector of the ballast and the igniter.
Never connect a tester between the output connector of the ballast and the igniter.
- You may get a high voltage electric shock if you touch the igniter when the lighting switch is in "HEAD" position, because the igniter generates high voltage in such a state.
Never touch the igniter when the lighting switch is in "HEAD" position.

CAUTION:

Touching a hot igniter or ballast may cause a burn.

Do not touch any igniter or ballast when it is hot.

NOTE:

Mercury, metal iodide and xenon gas are sealed in discharge headlight bulb. Be sure to dispose of used discharge headlight bulb properly according to applicable rules or regulations.
