Rear Seat Belt Removal and Installation

WARNING:

Failure to take proper precautions when servicing seat belt components may result in personal injury.

Be sure to read Service Precautions Precautions on Service and Diagnosis of Seat Belt
before starting service operations and follow all of the instructions provided.

Removal

1) Remove rear side sill scuff, rear side lower trim and rear pillar trim referring to Service and Repair Head Lining Removal and Installation.
2) Remove rear seat belt referring to Components Rear Seat Belt Components.

Installation

Rear Seat Belt Inspection

Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following.

- Seat belt anchor bolts should have an unified fine thread (7/16-20 UNF). Under no circumstances should any different sized or metric screw threads be used.
