1. Ensure coolant temperature is lower than 86°F.
2. Disconnect PTC heater coupler, then connect voltmeter between male portion of coupler and engine, Fig. 142. Voltmeter should indicate battery voltage at engine cranking.
3. Allow engine to run until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check that voltage is not applied to male coupler terminal of PTC heater, while engine is cranking. If voltage is present, refer to circuit check B-7.
