AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE FLUID RETURN PORT MODIFICATION

MODEL: ALL

YEAR:
11/90 AND EARLIER (EXCEPT GT) JAPAN PRODUCTION 2/91 AND EARLIER CAMI PRODUCTION
ALL 1989 GT

CONDITION:
New spare parts automatic transaxle assemblies (P/N 20002-62B90, except GT, and P/N 20002-62B82 for GT) have a new automatic transmission fluid return line location.

CAUSE:
Production change for enhanced lubrication.

CORRECTION:
The new automatic transaxle may be fitted to early production Swifts. However, the parts must be used and assembled as shown in the diagrams in this bulletin.





REVISION:
1) Change in tightening torque for A/T oil pipe bolts. This change has been carried out since 9/93 production.

2) Only REBUILT automatic transmission assemblies are being supplied by the ASMC Parts Dept.
