AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REPAIRS, ALL MODELS
Effective February 1, 1994, ASMC will no longer accept warranty claims for overhaul repairs to automatic transmissions on Suzuki vehicles. With the exception of fluid leaks, all automatic transmission repairs will be made with assembly replacements.
Only remanufactured automatic transmission assemblies with torque converters will be available through the Parts and Accessories Department. These assemblies are considered the same as new, and normal parts ordering, warranty policy and procedures apply.
Part numbers are listed.
Automatic transmissions are no longer available through the Technical Hot-Line remanufactured assemblies program.
Automatic transmission assembly cores with torque converters from ASMC reimbursed/warranty repairs, will be requested returned through normal warranty parts return procedures.
Automatic transmission assembly cores with torque converters from out of warranty/customer pay repairs are eligible for a $100.00 core return reimbursement credit from ASMC. To receive this credit simply call the ASMC Technical Hotline at (800) 934-1616 with the original assembly order number and your dealer code. ASMC will send you a freight prepaid bill of lading. Upon receipt of the bill of lading, contact the appropriate trucking company. Ship the transmission core including torque converter along with a legible copy of the packing slip that came with original assembly. When ASMC receives the core and packing slip a $100.00 core return credit will be applied to your monthly statement under the original transmission order number.
IMPORTANT CORE RETURN INFORMATION
ASMC has developed a new steel crate to better protect remanufactured transmission assemblies during shipment. All cores must be returned in the plastic bag provided and the steel crate used to ship the remanufactured assembly from ASMC. If the steel crate is not returned to ASMC a $100.00 debit will be assessed against your monthly parts statement.
