Requirements have, been established concerning the use of gasoline/MTBE (Methyl Tertiary Butyl Ether) blended fuels. It is acceptable to use unleaded gasoline blended with 15% or less of MTBE. Since MTBE is considered similar to gasoline, it should not adversely effect engine/fuel system materials (metals, plastics, rubber, etc.). However, a slight decrease in driveability and fuel mileage may be noticed. Future owner's manuals will reflect these changes.
