Front Suspension Arm & Bushing

Removal

1. Raise and support vehicle, then remove stabilizer links.
2. Remove ball stud bolt, then suspension arm bracket nuts/bolts.
3. Remove rear bracket and suspension arm.
4. Using press, remove rear bushing.
5. Cut off flange of front bushing, then remove bushing using press.

Installation

1. Install front bushing using press. When installed bushing should protrude equally on both sides.
2. Install rear bushing to suspension arm as follows:
a. Push in rear bushing in direction and angle as shown in Fig. 19, then drive into position shown in Fig. 20.
3. Install suspension arm and suspension arm bracket.
4. Install ball stud to knuckle, then suspension arm rear bracket.
5. Install stabilizer links.
6. Torque all bolts/nuts to specifications.
7. Install wheels, then lower vehicle.
8. Check toe setting and adjust as required.
