Operation CHARM: Car repair manuals for everyone.

Final Check

1. Insert the tongue plate into the buckle assembly.

2. Confirm a clicking sound when the tongue plate latches in the buckle.

3. Check to be sure the tongue plate actually latches in the buckle by yanking on the tongue.

4. Repeat above steps 1 to 3 at least 4 times.

WARNING:
If the latch sound is dull, there may be foreign material inside the buckle assembly. If so, disassemble the buckle and free any foreign material. Foreign material inside the buckle assembly may prevent the buckle from latching, or unlatching once latched.

5. On vehicles equipped with seat belt warning light/buzzer, check for proper operation of the warning light/buzzer.

6. Unbuckle seat belt, remove drop cloth, make sure seat is clean, remove all tools and adjust the seats to driving position.

7. Affix the Blue L6 sticker to the driver's door opening center "B" pillar above the front driver's door latch striker.

NOTE:
Additional "L6" stickers may be ordered through normal parts channels, in package quantities of twenty-five (25) stickers per pack, under part number # 99963-01501-133.
