Reading Diagnostic Trouble Codes

Diagnosis And Test Switch Terminals:

The following procedure will extract trouble codes. For a thorough self-diagnosis system inspection, refer to FLOW OF DIAGNOSIS.

- Turn key ON.
- Connect spare fuse to diagnosis switch terminal (in fuse box).
- Observe "CHECK ENGINE" light.
- If code 12 flashes, the system has no trouble codes.
- If code 12 does not flash, other codes will.
