Dashboard / Instrument Panel: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect battery ground cable, then remove console box and front extension.
2. Disconnect all wires and cables from heater and blower units.
3. Remove steering wheel, steering column and steering joint upper bolt.
4. Remove engine control module (ECM).
5. Remove engine hood opener.
6. Remove front pillar trim on both sides.
7. Remove all electrical connectors to dash panel.
8. Remove body ground at center of floor.

9. Remove instrument panel mounting bolts, Fig. 2, then instrument panel.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
