INSTRUMENT PANEL

Removal
1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Remove parking brake lever cover (1).
3. Remove console box (2) and cigarette lighter coupler.




4. Remove console box front extension (3).
5. Disconnect wires and cables from heater and blower unit referring to "Heater Control Cables Removal and Installation:".
6. Remove steering column assembly referring to "Steering Column Removal and Installation:".
7. Remove ECM (1).
8. Remove engine hood opener (2).




9. Remove front pillar trim (3).
10. Disconnect wires and couplers from instrument panel refer to "Air Bag System Components, Wiring and Connectors Locator:".




11. Remove body ground (1) at floor center.




12. Remove instrument panel mounting screw (1) and bolt (2).
13. Remove instrument panel.

Installation
For installing instrument panel, reverse removal procedure noting the following points.
- Air Bag System Components, Wiring and Connectors Locator
- Steering Column Removal and Installation
- Heater Control Cables Removal and Installation
